Biography:

Bardock, also known as Burdock in some translations, is a Saiyan warrior from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. He is the father of Goku (Kakarot) and Raditz.

Bardock is known for his rebellious spirit and his premonitions. He leads a small squad of Saiyan soldiers on various missions for Frieza's army before uncovering Frieza's plan to destroy Planet Vegeta and the Saiyan race.

Bardock's attempts to warn the Saiyans and fight against Frieza are ultimately unsuccessful. He is seemingly killed by Frieza's Supernova attack, but not before sending Goku to Earth to save him from the same fate.

Bardock's first appearance was in the 1990 TV special Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku.
